 BIO

Age: Old…

Born: Derbyshire

Favourite break: Swanpool, Falmouth

Favourite boards: Skindog EUROSTAR - the ultimate all-rounder. Skindog QUILL - for style and flow & the new SMOOTHIE model.

"I began surfing when I moved down to Falmouth in 1999 from Nottingham at the age of 30. Shortly after I bought my first Longboard and in 2010 entered a British Longboard Union competition at Perranporth. I enjoyed the experience so much that I’ve only missed a couple of subsequent BLU events and it was through these events that I met Ben Skinner, began riding his boards and have now held the Masters’ No. 2 UK ranking for the last 3 years. I’m also a member of the North Devon Hotdoggers surf Longboard Club, based at Saunton beach, and regularly travel up to compete at their club events, winning the Masters’ League title in 2015."

Between Surfs: I work for Cornwall Council’s Countryside Service managing some of Cornwall’s Country Parks, Nature Reserves and Multi-use Trails.

When it’s flat: I run a Taijiquan school; Taijiquan is a traditional Chinese martial art based on the Taoist principles of Yin and Yang.

Advice: Get involved! Enter a national event or check out your local club. There’s a vibrant Longboard scene out there and you need to be a part of it!
